20. Ta Ha · verses 32–39

وَأَشۡرِكۡهُ فِيٓ أَمۡرِي

Waashrikhu fee amree

"And make him share my task:

كَيۡ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِيرٗا

Kay nusabbihaka katheeran

"That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint,

وَنَذۡكُرَكَ كَثِيرًا

Wanathkuraka katheeran

"And remember Thee without stint:

إِنَّكَ كُنتَ بِنَا بَصِيرٗا

Innaka kunta bina baseeran

"For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us."

قَالَ قَدۡ أُوتِيتَ سُؤۡلَكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

Qala qad ooteeta sulaka ya moosa

(Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!"

وَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَيۡكَ مَرَّةً أُخۡرَىٰٓ

Walaqad mananna AAalayka marratan okhra

"And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before).

إِذۡ أَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ

Ith awhayna ila ommika ma yooha

"Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message:

أَنِ ٱقۡذِفِيهِ فِي ٱلتَّابُوتِ فَٱقۡذِفِيهِ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ فَلۡيُلۡقِهِ ٱلۡيَمُّ بِٱلسَّاحِلِ يَأۡخُذۡهُ عَدُوّٞ لِّي وَعَدُوّٞ لَّهُۥۚ وَأَلۡقَيۡتُ عَلَيۡكَ مَحَبَّةٗ مِّنِّي وَلِتُصۡنَعَ عَلَىٰ عَيۡنِيٓ

Ani iqthifeehi fee alttabooti faiqthifeehi fee alyammi falyulqihi alyammu bialssahili yakhuthhu AAaduwwun lee waAAaduwwun lahu waalqaytu AAalayka mahabbatan minnee walitusnaAAa AAala AAaynee

"´Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him´: But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye.
